Human existence is shaped by planetary and cosmic cycles that, much like grand seasons, define life on Earth. We currently find ourselves in an age of darkness. Human physical evolution has reached its absolute peak; our bodies and brains can no longer evolve biologically. Consequently, the next stage of our evolution is not a physical process, but one that is purely conscious and spiritual. While animals evolve unconsciously, driven simply by nature, that automatic process has ended for human beings. You have now attained the brain capacity and level of perception necessary to take charge of your own development. If you do not actively choose to become more conscious now, you will stagnate or, from an evolutionary standpoint, even regress into compulsive, animalistic behavior. Being human is not a state, but a process. A human being is not a finished entity, but an ongoing process of becoming. A tiger is born a tiger and lives as a tiger. A human, however, is born as such but can choose, over the course of a lifetime, whether to behave like an animal or to cultivate divine qualities. Nature has granted us the freedom and the choice regarding who we wish to be. Biological evolution has endowed us with survival mechanisms that often operate unconsciously and compulsively, such as anger, fear, or greed. The next stage of evolution entails consciously directing every action, thought, and emotion.
